Maarten dreamed of making music ever since he was a little kid. Thanks to a software program called ProTracker he was able to meet Paul and they started making music and spending all their time together. In 2006, they started recording under the name of Bingo Players. Their tracks were liked by the EDM crowds in America and abroad. Their breakout hit “Cry (Just a Little)” featured a re-recording of the hook from a 1988 Brenda Russell Song. Although they didn’t start out as DJS, they quickly became regulars in the EDM circuit and played at festivals like EDC, Tomorrowland, and Coachella. The duo also formed their own label, Hysteria, and released singles from Carl Tricks, MAKJ, and Henry Fong. In 2013, they teamed up with rapper, Far East Movement, and created “Get Up” (Rattle). It charted to the Top Ten around the world and sold over 200,000 record in the US. Unfortunately, Paul passed away in December 2013. Paul’s wish was for Maarten to continue the Bingo Players legacy and keep making music.
