Drai’s Halloween Heroes Weekend Recap: Return of the Nightlife Avengers

It was a Halloween weekend of epic proportions here at Drai’s Nightclub, with a stellar lineup rivaling any major music festival — DJ Esco (10/25), DJ Pauly D (10/26), Lil Wayne (10/27) and Fabolous (10/28) took over the stage! This year’s theme was Halloween Heroes: Return of the Nightlife Avengers as everyone from our VIP staff to partygoers dressed as their favorite superheroes, villains and everything else in between — the entire weekend looked like a scene straight from a comic book with inspiring decor throughout the venue. Special guests included Diddy, Travis Barker, Mike Tyson and many more!

DJ Esco kicked things off Thursday night, continuing to bring us the COOLEST party on the Strip. “Las Vegas make some noise! We gotta do it like this, put your hands up!” Esco’s energetic presence always gets everybody up on their feet, starting the show off with “Too Much Sauce,” “Mask Off” and “Work,” of course with his trusty sidekick the Mask-Off Mascot. Our Drai’s Dirty Dancers joined in on a number of hits as well, all dressed up as their beloved comic book characters. It was truly a special evening as DJ Esco took his time and shouted out all of the birthday people in the building, celebrating with 2 Chainz’s “Birthday Song”! He made sure to bring the hottest in today’s hits like “Sicko Mode,” “Mo Bamba,” “Nice for What” and more, keeping the momentum going to jump start the Halloween Heroes weekend!

Friday night was DJ Pauly D’s highly-anticipated grand debut at Drai’s Nightclub, and it was an incredible success! He not only played the finest in hip-hop and R&B, but his amazing open format style switched it up by bringing out some outstanding EDM, dance and Latin tracks to the venue. As with any Pauly show, it was a jam-packed night full of energy and good vibes with birthday celebrations, tables making it rain, nonstop drinks being poured, and everyone dressed up in costume having a blast, including Pauly himself coming in as Captain America (with a pair of Jordan 1 x Off-White shoes)! “Las Vegas wassup!? Yeahhh buddy!” He started us off with “Fefe” and “I Love It” backed by our Drai’s Dirty Dancers, as fans cheered on as he stepped foot on the Drai’s LIVE stage! As he brought out banger after banger, Pauly took a moment to get in front of the stage to happily shake hands with the crowd. DJ Franzen later on stepped on stage to hand out foam LED sticks to everybody on the dancefloor — it was a dance party as the lights dimmed and glow sticks were being waved all around! Pauly also played some staple fan-favorites in the mix like “Thriller,” “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” “All the Small Things” and more, getting everyone to sing along to the classics! DJ Pauly D kept the celebrations going til the very end, and you can catch him again at the Las Vegas nightclub on Friday, November 23! Click here for tickets.

Drai’s Nightclub was the talk of the town for Saturday night, with the return of the one and only Lil Wayne live in concert! Fans from all over came out to see his long-awaited appearance, making for a sold out evening. Excitement was in the air from start to finish, with Wayne’s mother celebrating her birthday in the stage side VIP along with his aunt, close friends, colleagues and family members. Before Wayne got on, performer twins Sean and John Scott did an incredible tap dance number on stage to warm the crowd up! It was then showtime as Lil Wayne started it off with “Got Money” followed by “Goin In,” and it was pure insanity from thereon out as the crowd went wild! “Make some noise for your damn selves! My name is Tunechi, it’s been awhile so I see a lot of new faces here. Y’all having a hell of a time say ‘f*** yeah!’ How many of y’all got that Carter V?! Put your 5’s up!” For the first time in Las Vegas, Lil Wayne performed Tha Carter V singles like “Let It Fly” and “Don’t Cry” for the fans! “I appreciate everything about all of you, but if you wanna take it back make some noise!” He then went back to 2004 and did “Go DJ” for the day 1s, followed by “Lollipop” and “Mrs. Officer” for all the ladies. “I need y’all to set your drinks down for this one, get up off your seats, do whatever to get ready…” After performing “A Milli,” Weezy closed his epic set out with his latest chart-topper “Uproar” and sent everyone in a frenzy! We had confetti and smoke blasting all across the building — a perfect end to a perfect evening thanks to Lil Wayne!

And what better way to close out this Halloween Heroes weekend than with a live performance from Fabolous? Our very own DJ Franzen got it all started, playing some of his favorite ’90s jams along with today’s biggest tracks, backed by the Drai’s Dirty Dancers keeping the crowd entertained throughout. DJ Boof then hopped on the decks, known for his boisterous mic presence to get fans warmed up for Fab. “Vegas wassup in this mother******, make some noise one time!” Fabolous began with a “Lituation” into “Like Whoa,” looking fashionable with a pair of Givenchy bottoms and Gucci sneakers, topped with a Batman mask. Fab performed countless hits from his endless array of singles like “Doin It Well,” “She Wildin,” “Sorry Not Sorry” and much more, with a surprise appearance from Jadakiss for “We Gonna Make It”! He made sure to show plenty of love as he reached out and shook hands with the crowd, and it wouldn’t be a Fab show without him showing some extra love to the ladies as they helped sing the choruses to “Superwoman,” “Into You” and “Can’t Let You Go”! All the Scorpios in the building got a special shout out as “Say Aah” was next, taking things to another level! “Drai’s, Las Vegas make some noise!” Fabolous ended his show with “You Be Killin Em” as everyone sang along — a fitting way to conclude this memorable Halloween weekend at Drai’s Nightclub!
