We closed the month of April off in style, for what was another showstopping weekend with some of the best talents in the world performing live atop The Cromwell. Friday night we had the hottest group in the world Migos live in concert; Saturday at Drai’s Beachclub was the grand debut of Dada Life, with Showtek following suit; and that evening was the return of R&B sensation Trey Songz! A bevy of special guests and celebrities came through as well to join in on the fun: Broncos linebackers Von Miller and Brandon Marshall, Orlando Magic stars Aaron Gordon and Arron Affalo, 49ers linebacker Korey Toomer, Raiders wide receiver Martavis Bryant, Rams running back Todd Gurley, DJ Chuckie and many more! Now let’s see what went on over the weekend:
There was really no better way to start the weekend off Friday night here at Drai’s: it was a sold out affair as Migos fans and partygoers came out to be at the hottest venue on the Strip! Bottles everywhere, tables making it rain, celebrating life — you had to be here to truly experience it all! DJ Durel got on just before they were set to perform, getting partygoers amped up with his energetic presence. We then heard the start of “Higher We Go” and cheers erupted in the club as Migos made their way on stage, as it transitioned into “Supastars.” Tables then began to make it rain some more as “Deadz” fittingly was next! “All my day 1 Migos fans where y’all at?!” going into one of their earlier hits “Hannah Montana” and “Fight Night.” The Atlanta trio performed other countless hits like “T-Shirt,” “Ice Tray,” and of course “Bad and Boujee.” “If you takin’ a ride with the gang, can I get a skoo skoo?” asked Quavo, as they went right in to “MotorSport.” After Offset’s raps, a BIG surprise guest joined in for the upcoming verse: the one and only Cardi B graced the stage to finish the song off! Screams filled the air; as if the night couldn’t get any better, it did and it was madness! Migos will be back to close out Memorial Day Weekend on Sunday, May 27! Click here for tickets.
Now for Saturday’s Drai’s Beachclub recap, it was the highly-anticipated debut of Dada Life followed by the return of Showtek! From early on in the afternoon it was a packed house full of partygoers just ready to get the day started with a bang. Dada Life came on and started with “Our Nation” to the delight of all the Dada fans. The mascots came out to liven up the stage, giving out miniature Dada Life flags and banana foams for the nation! Dada played dance remixes like “Aire,” “Crackin,” “D.A.N.C.E.” and more, keeping the party going. Of course Dada hits “Higher Than the Sun,” “Sunday F*** You Too,” “One Last Night on Earth,” “Do It Till Your Face Hurts” and more were performed — “I wanna see everyone jump in the water when the drop hits! Alright Drai’s, let’s show them how we do it!” as “Disco Weapon” was played, and sure enough everyone made a splash! “I see so many beautiful bananas here, you are way too beautiful!” and it was time for champagne to be sprayed, with some fans invited up on stage to join in on the insanity! Showtek then made their way up on stage and got things started with “Show Me” and “Make It Rain,” keeping the momentum going. “Let me get those hands up! Put ’em up, put ’em up! Las Vegassss, we like to party!” with their smash hit “We Like to Party” being next. Other hits like “Heads Will Roll,” “God’s Plan,” “Mami Chupa” and “Boneless” were played, with their bangers “Slow Down” and “Natural Blues” being brought out too. It was another beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon at Drai’s Beachclub!
That evening saw R&B superstar Trey Songz returning to the Drai’s LIVE stage! Drummer and producer extraordinaire Amadeus was on hand as well all night, always getting everyone up and moving. As with any Trey Songz show, beautiful ladies were all over the venue awaiting his performance. “Na Na” was first on his set, followed by club staple “It’s a Vibe” as he kneeled on stage to get closer to his fans, reaching his hand out as all the ladies screamed for his attention! “Y’all having a good time in Vegas?!” as Trey performed 2009’s “Neighbors Know My Name,” and you can hear everyone singing along during his a capella. Things started to heat up with “Slow Motion,” “2 Reasons,” “Dive In” and more being serenaded by Trey. It was then time to celebrate all of the birthday people in the building, with his team passing out shot after shot to the dancefloor. He then invited up some lucky birthday girls to join him on stage for “Say Aah,” dancing and drinking with them to make for a night to remember! Trigga closed his incredible set out with everyone’s favorite “Bottoms Up,” with Amadeus ending it with an epic drum solo! Trey Songz will make his return again for a very special co-headlining performance with TIP this Friday, May 4! Click here for tickets.
