With so much happening over the weekend here at Drai’s, where do we even begin? To start we had the grand return of Snoop Dogg alongside Rae Sremmurd on Friday, for Drai’s Beachclub on Saturday was a special performance from TroyBoi and A-Trak, and later that night at Drai’s Nightclub we had the always showstopping Big Sean! As always there were a whole lot of special guests coming in from everywhere: Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams and nose tackle AJ Francis, former running back Darren McFadden, Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, actress Jillian Rose Reed, singer-songwriter Jason Derulo, and many more! Let’s take a look at what went on Friday and Saturday.
Friday as you can imagine started off packed from start to finish, with longtime fans anticipating Snoop Dogg and Rae Sremmurd’s performances! You can feel the crowd’s energy all evening, with drinks and bottle parades left and right to celebrate the big night! Rae Sremmurd comes on first with their always explosive set, starting with “No Type” and “Come Get Her” for the many beautiful ladies. “Shout out to all the single ladies right now!” Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi were all over the stage and happily interacting with fans: “Shout out to Drai’s Nightclub man, who from out of town right now?! In the count of three I want you to scream where you from!” Needless to say we had people far and wide shouting out their hometowns as the duo went into “Throw Sum Mo”! Patrons were in for a treat as they also performed their newest SR3MM bangers like “Chanel,” “Guatemala” and more, closing their performance out with “Powerglide.”
We then had the legendary Big Snoop Dogg up next, starting it off strong with his 2009 hit “I Wanna Rock” followed by his Doggystyle classic “Tha Shiznit.” It was classic after classic from the iconic Snoop, and for “P.I.M.P.” he fittingly brought out his longtime friend Bishop Don “Magic” Juan on stage! To add to his set he also brought out a couple of professional pole dancers on stage for some mesmerizing moves for some of his songs. Snoop Dogg performed chart-toppers like “Next Episode,” “Nothin’ But a G Thang,” “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Gin and Juice” and more, and it was truly a special time! He closed the epic night out right with “What’s My Name?,” with everyone singing along to the OG hit. Snoop happily greeted guests and took pictures with fans after the show, showing his appreciation to those that came out!
For Saturday at Drai’s Beachclub we had another co-headlining performance day with TroyBoi and A-Trak! We had a full crowd of partygoers, with drinks flowing and bottles popping all afternoon. TroyBoi was up first as he also brought out the Freestahyl dance troupe to add to the show vibes, starting it off with his recent banger “B.I.A.” He also played some of today’s hottest hits and dance remixes to get the crowd moving on the gorgeous sunny Saturday. Troy also unleashed his inner ninja by bringing out “Kinjabang” and “Sensei,” as well as his other tracks like “Look at Me,” “Hey Bo” and “Troy.” “Thank you so much for having me; it’s your boy from London T R O Y B O I!” It was then time for Fool’s Gold’s own A-Trak to come on, beginning with a grandiose-sounding intro with “Best Friend (Remix)” by Young Thug, really getting everyone amped up! The scratch king as always brought out the best in trap and hip-hop sounds like “I Do” (Cardi B), “Don’t Judge Me” (Ty Dolla $ign), “The Way Life Goes” (Lil Uzi Vert) and more, mashing it flawlessly with his own trademark dance flair. It was a party all the way through atop The Cromwell! You can catch A-Trak again here at Drai’s Beachclub on Sunday, May 6 with special guest Miles Medina! Click here to purchase tickets.
Later that night was the always amazing Big Sean in the building! Being another sold out night here at Drai’s Nightclub, it was once again THE place to party on the Strip. Donning a Balenciaga jacket that night, he started his performance off with “Go Legend” into “Moves.” “All my ladies in the building make some noise!” Before performing “Pull Up N Wreck,” Sean asked the audience “Who’s celebrating a birthday up in here?! If you from out of town make some noise right now! East Coast in the building, Detroit, is the West Coast in the building or what?!” as the venue erupted in cheers. He brought out many other timeless bangers like “Don’t Like,” “My Last” and “IDFWU.” “If you feeling blessed make some noise man. Oh man, I’m having a good time. Y’all having a good time or what?! This is the time to take that bottle and get some shots. Y’all ready for some more or what?!” as he transitions into his next hit “Blessings.” Sean then closed his set out with “Bounce Back”: “If y’all got love for me, I got love for y’all. Vegas, thank you!” Big Sean will be back at Drai’s Nightclub on Saturday, May 12! Click here to purchase tickets.
