Lil Wayne Drops ‘Dedication 6’ for Christmas Day, Releases Accompanying Capsule Collection

Drai’s resident Lil Wayne has just dropped a Christmas gift to all of his fans on Christmas Day, December 25: his highly-anticipated Dedication 6 mixtape! Initially speculated to drop sometime last month via his manager, there were no updates once November passed until early December, when Wayne announced that it will be dropping for good before the year closes out. Keeping it consistent with the Dedication series, it is produced by frequent collaborator DJ Drama, who has been teasing the project along with Weezy for the past two years. Following up from 2013’s Dedication 5 that featured heavyweights like The Weeknd, Chance the Rapper and fellow Drai’s resident Tip, Lil Wayne dropped five songs this past summer, including a freestyle remix of “Magnolia,” the Young Jeezy collaboration “Fireworks,” and “Like a Man.”

The Dedication mixtapes are known for putting Weezy’s eccentric spin on current popular hits such as Post Malone’s “rockstar,” Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3” and Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA.” Young Money affiliates Cory Gunz and Gudda Gudda also appear on the 15-track project as well, courtesy of DatPiff.

To accompany the release, Wayne also released a Dedication 6-branded capsule collection which consists of T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, and a hat. You can purchase the collection now at Young Money’s web store.

On behalf of everyone here at Drai’s, we want to congratulate Lil Wayne on this amazing release and wish each and every one of you a safe and happy holidays!
