Wiz Khalifa, Tip and More Honored for Their Donations to Today’s Youth

We are proud to share that our very own Wiz Khalifa and Tip are being honored for their generosity in helping today’s youth! The Drai’s residents, along with former NBA star Josh Smith, attended the first annual Developing Opinions Awards Banquet in Southern California, honoring current and former players of the Crenshaw Rams (a team in Drai’s resident Snoop Dogg’s Youth Football League). Wiz Khalifa received the “Epic Man of the Year” honor for his multiple donations, totaling up to $100K; Tip took home the “University Iron Man” award for donating to Crenshaw High School’s new football field; and Josh Smith received the “Baller-Shot Caller” award for gifting Snoop’s football league with new uniforms.

Wiz and Tip weren’t the only rappers honored, as LA native Nipsey Hussle and Trinidad James initiated new educational programs and spent thousands on shoes and clothing for over 400 kids. An incredible way to honor those making a difference in inner-city communities, it was truly inspirational for these kids to be in the same room as their idols, giving them some words of wisdom. The event was founded by Rams’ CEO Eugene “Big U” Henley.

You can catch Wiz Khalifa live in concert this Saturday, January 13 at Drai’s Nightclub! Click here to buy tickets.
