Drai’s Weekend Recap: DJ Esco (2/28), Nelly (3/1), Meek Mill (3/2), Fabolous (3/3)

Drai’s Nightclub was the big fight weekend’s hottest ticket in town, featuring an unmatched festival-worthy lineup unlike anywhere else on the Strip – DJ Esco kicked off the celebrations on Thursday, with Drai’s residents Nelly, Meek Mill and Fabolous rounding it out for another memorable weekend! Special guests included NFL players Todd Gurley, Kalan Reed, Mark Ingram, Reshad Jones, Bud Dupree; former NBA players Metta World Peace, Trevor Booker, Larry Sanders; and many more. We also had the pleasure of hosting boxing champ Floyd Mayweather’s birthday as he celebrated with close friends, family and colleagues.

DJ Esco made his long-awaited return for his brand new ‘Area 56’ show on Thursday, providing an otherworldly experience as Drai’s Nightclub transformed into a futuristic, space-themed party! “Las Vegas put your hands up! This is the first night of Area 56 with DJ Esco; if you from out of town make some noise!” The Esco Terrestrial – looking stylish wearing a Heron Preston x Nike top and a pair of Off-White Air Max 90s – has officially landed back on stage, providing fresh visuals, choreography alongside the Mask-Off Mascot and our Drai’s Dirty Dancers, and implementing some of today’s biggest hits like “ZEZE,” “Thotiana,” “Going Bad” and more – “If you ready to have a toast make some noise! We celebrating, I need you to toast up!” Esco never fails to hype the crowd up, interacting with the audience and getting everyone up and moving. “I got a serious question and I need an answer… who’s birthday in this b**** tonight?!” Cheers erupted as he personally shouted out as many birthdays as possible, and then going into 2 Chainz’s “Birthday Song” to dial it up even more – the debut of Area 56 was a huge success, and you can catch DJ Esco every Thursday night here at Drai’s Nightclub!

Friday evening saw fan-favorite Nelly back on the world-famous Drai’s LIVE stage, providing another showstopping set for the jam-packed crowd. Once again he couldn’t help but come on stage before his show to tease partygoers, greeting people on the dancefloor, dancing, and hyping fans up! Nelly then got it started with “E.I.” and “Shake Ya Tailfeather” as we had drinks flowing and everyone up and dancing the night away! “I wanna thank y’all for having me right now! But right now I only wanna talk to those at Drai’s that’s been with me since day 1!” He then took us back to the year 2000 as he performed “Country Grammar,” then mixing it up with one of his current jams “The Fix.” Confetti and smoke filled the air fittingly to “All I Do Is Win” to celebrate the weekend – “All my ladies make some noise! Drai’s Las Vegas if you still with me tonight make some noise!” Nelly closed it out to “Dilemma” and “Hot in Herre,” but the night was far from over as he happily hung out on stage afterwards to shake hands and have a blast with his surroundings. “Shout out to Drai’s Las Vegas for being the hottest club!” You can catch Nelly again on Sunday, March 24 here at Drai’s Nightclub!

The triumphant return of Meek Mill brought out a sold out Saturday here at Drai’s Nightclub – the energy was on another level as a number of special guests and fans alike came out after the big fight, making for an evening to remember! “Vegas WTF is up tonight! Yeah I like that s***, I’m from the East Coast – gonna take y’all uptown!” Meek performed his Championships standout “Uptown Vibes” followed by “1942 Flows” to screams across the venue, with bottles popping and tables making it rain from thereon out. “If you sipping on that ’42 make some noise! If you having a good time make some noise!” The Philly rapper showed love by shaking hands with those on the dance floor, bringing out nothing but bangers to keep the good vibes going. He also took a moment to say happy birthday to Floyd Mayweather, seen enjoying himself in one of our plush VIP tables. Meek Mill ended his explosive set with what everyone’s been waiting for, “Dreams and Nightmares” followed by his latest single “Going Bad” to great aplomb – “That’s my time, thank you Drai’s!”

And what better way to close the weekend out than with a special edition of #SunDraisWithDJFranzen, featuring Fabolous live in concert! Our resident DJ Franzen got the party started as he played the best in rap and R&B, effortlessly commanding the mic and getting the crowd amped up, even passing some free birthday shots around to the dance floor. “Vegas if you having a good 2019 make some noise!” Fab got it going with a “Lituation” into “She Wildin'” as he shook hands with some of his loyal fans as he rapped to his countless hits. “Y’all having a good time in Vegas this weekend? If you trying to turn up make some noise! Can we do some classic shit for the ladies one time?!” It wouldn’t be a Fabolous show without him giving some extra attention to the ladies, bringing out “Superwoman,” “Into You” and “Can’t Let You Go” as they helped sing along to the chorus. And for all the birthday people in the building he performed “Say Aah” to smoke and confetti, followed by “Throw It in the Bag.” “I got one more song but before I go, I wanna compliment all of you for coming out tonight!” Fabolous closed it out strong with “You Be Killin Em” to cap off another weekend for the books!
