Rapper, actor and entrepreneur 50 Cent got his start in music in 2000, where he made recordings with his friends Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo and formed the group G-Unit. They were then noticed by Dr. Dre and Eminem and promoted 50 Cent as a solo act, signing him to their record labels. His debut release Get Rich or Die Tryin' was a massive success and put many singles on the charts like "In Da Club." In 2005, 50 Cent came out with another album entitled Massacrewhich featured hits like "Candy Shop" and "Just a Lil Bit." He also released Curtis in 2007 and Before I Self Destruct in 2009, and since then landed some prominent acting roles, recently signing a brand new deal with Starz after the success of Power.
