Drai’s Weekend Recap: Ty Dolla $ign (3/2), Big Sean (3/3) and Yo Gotti (3/4)
by DRAI’S / March 6, 2018
It was another successful weekend here at Drai’s Nightclub — with a lineup this big, of course it was going to be off the charts! We got off to a strong start with one of our newer residents Ty Dolla $ign on Friday for his ‘Don’t Judge Me Tour,’ then everyone’s favorite Big Sean for Saturday night, and finally the debut of our newest hip-hop artist Yo Gotti for Sunday! With a weekend like this plenty of special guests came out to party, especially some NFL players enjoying themselves in the off-season: defensive tackle Stephen Paea, Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky, former running back Reggie Bush, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Harry Douglas, New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre Paul, Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Ryan Switzer, and many more!
Friday night at Drai’s was one of Ty Dolla $ign’s many tour stops from the ‘Don’t Judge Me Tour,’ and fans all over couldn’t wait for him to come out! The champ Floyd Mayweather returned that night, getting a plush VIP table and bottle service for his close friends and The Money Team crew. Ty starts his set off right with the club anthem “Toot It and Boot It,” and phones are up everywhere in the club! Ladies everywhere were loving it as “You and Your Friends” and “Don’t Tell Em” were next, with every word being sang along. Always showing love and appreciation, Ty reached his hand out to many eager fans. “All the ladies in the club make some noise, all the fellas in the building say ‘whoo!’ If you from Vegas make some noise, if you from out of town like me make some noise! Shout out to Drai’s, shout out to everyone that came out tonight. Is anybody else drinking, wassup?!” as screams fill the whole venue! Ty sang many other hits like “Love U Better,” “Lil Favorite” and brought out special guest TeeCee4800 for “Only Right”! It was really heating up on stage, so Ty had no choice but to take his shirt off to the girls’ delight for “Or Nah.” The night came to a close with “Blasé,” with an incredible drum solo at the end and Ty doing some head banging/guitar shredding from all the energy! It was another successful stop for Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Don’t Judge Me Tour,’ looking like a natural already here at Drai’s Nightclub!
It was a sold-out Saturday night for Big Sean, with so much action going on everywhere you looked! Sean came in with his close friends and colleagues before performing to enjoy themselves in the stage-side VIP. We also saw Victor Drai come through for the night, greeting Big Sean and enjoying some conversation. No stranger to the Drai’s LIVE stage, Sean Don got it really amped up with “Go Legend” to the jam-packed crowd! “We in motherf****** Vegas right now, let’s get it going!” GOOD Music classics “I Don’t Like,” “Mercy” and “Clique” were performed, satisfying all Big Sean fans in the building. “Where my Pisces at?! If you celebrating a birthday make some noise right now, if you with the people you love and care about make some noise right now!” Needless to say, we had A LOT of birthday people that weekend! Tables making it rain, bottles everywhere, people just having a blast all over the place! Big Sean, known for his caring demeanor, gets on the mic for a moment for the fans: “We here at Drai’s having the best time of our lives, I just wanna thank y’all and I appreciate y’all so much. I’m working on my sixth album right now; if you got love for me I got love for you right now. Life’s about taking risks man, it’s all part of your dream.” Fans couldn’t agree more and cheers erupted wall to wall. He closed this insane night out with “Bounce Back,” telling everyone “I want to thank y’all for coming out. I’m gonna celebrate and get some champagne and some shots!” Well said, Sean. Be sure to come back for Saturday, March 24 as we’ll be hosting Big Sean’s official birthday celebration and his return to the Drai’s LIVE stage!
For another special #SunDraisWithDJFranzen, it was the debut of Memphis’s own and CMG head honcho Yo Gotti! Another sold-out affair, Yo Gotti fans and partygoers all over flocked in as soon as the club was open. With so many hit singles under his belt as well as Gotti’s contagious stage presence, everyone was up and moving all evening! Other chart-toppers like “5 Star,” “Might Not Make It” and “They Like” were performed to everyone’s enjoyment. Proudly representing CMG (Collective Music Group), Yo Gotti busted out classics like “Bricks,” “Doin 2 Much” and “I Know” for the fans! “Yo shout out to Drai’s and the whole team. I appreciate everyone that came out, all y’all!” as he went into last summer’s biggest hit “Rake It Up”! “Everyone get your Instagrams and Snapchats out for this next one!” with guests excitedly knowing what’s to come: “Down in the DM”! And the weekend comes to a close as Gotti performs his latest smash “Juice,” followed by an encore of Drake’s “Look Alive”! If you missed his Drai’s debut performance, you’re in luck as he’ll be returning Sunday, April 8! Click here to buy tickets.
