Grammy Award-Winning Artist Tip “T.I.” Harris Launches Exclusive 2016 Drai’s LIVE Residency
Last night (March 5, 2016), Grammy Award-winning hip-hop artist Tip “T.I.” Harris delivered his first-ever Drai’s LIVE performance at Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell in Las Vegas. The full-length concert performance served as the kickoff for the “24’s” rapper’s exclusive year-long residency at the dazzling, multi-level nightclub. Partygoers welcomed Tip to his new Las Vegas home with thunderous cheers as he served up fan-favorites like “Rubberband Man,” “No Mediocre” and more, while backed by a full band. Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel was spotted at the packed rooftop venue following his attendance of UFC196 earlier in the evening, as well as San Francisco 49ers running back Reggie Bush and Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller, who returned after seeing rapper Nelly take the Drai’s LIVE stage Friday night.
Several more NFL players were spotted enjoying the first performance of Tip “T.I.” Harris’s exclusive 2016 Drai’s LIVE residency at Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell last night, including Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs, Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle Arthur Jones, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Justin Bethel, and the Seattle Seahawks’ safety Earl Thomas and cornerback Richard Sherman, who took to Instagram following the show to post a video of Tip performing his chart-topping single “Live Your Life.”
Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr. (born September 25, 1980), better known by his stage names T.I. and Tip (stylized as TIP), is an American hip-hop recording artist and actor from Atlanta, Georgia. He signed his first major-label record deal in 1999, with Arista Records subsidiary, LaFace Records. In 2001, T.I. formed the Southern hip-hop group Pimp Squad Click (P$C), alongside his longtime friends and fellow Atlanta-based rappers. Upon being released from Arista, T.I. signed to Atlantic Records and subsequently became the co-chief executive officer (CEO) of his own label imprint, Grand Hustle Records, which he launched in 2003. T.I. is also perhaps best known as one of the artists who popularized the hip-hop subgenre trap music, along with Young Jeezy and Gucci Mane.
