Future Releases New Track, “I.C.W.N.T.”
by DRAI’S / March 1, 2018
As we’re about to close out the month of February (already), Drai’s resident artist Future just surprise-dropped the world with what sounds to be another banger. “I.C.W.N.T.,” which stands for “I Can’t Wife No Thot,” is reminiscent to his highly-lauded DS2 days. The lyrics share the sentiment in the steady beat, as the rapper shuts down conceited Instagram models who mistakenly think they are worth his time in the catchy hook. The track comes to us more than four months after Future released Super Slimey, his collaborative project with Young Thug. Since then, the rapper has appeared on a number of records in 2018 alongside artists like Tinashe (“Faded Love”), Young Scooter (“Trippple Cross”) and Kendrick Lamar (“King’s Dead”).
Speculation from fans began early January about a pending solo release, when he deleted everything on his Instagram as he did in early 2017 for his back-to-back albums FUTURE and HNDRXX. Could this be the first taste of what’s to officially come from his upcoming full-length LP? Stay tuned for more news and in the meantime, listen to “I.C.W.N.T.” below.
