Drai’s Weekend Recap: Yo Gotti (9/28), TroyBoi and Fabolous (9/29)
by DRAI’S / October 1, 2018
There was no better place to bid farewell to the summer season in Las Vegas than here at Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub, once again being the place to be and be seen to party all weekend long! Friday night was the grand return of Yo Gotti to the Drai’s LIVE stage, TroyBoi took over Drai’s Beachclub for his final show here Saturday afternoon, and later that night we had Fabolous shut it down for us in a big way. Special guests that came out included boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, NBA player Josh Smith, TMZ’s Van Lathan, and many more!
Friday at Drai’s Nightclub got off to an amazing start as we kicked off the inaugural autumn weekend, with the one and only Yo Gotti delivering a stellar performance for fans and partygoers alike. We had both DJ Franzen and DJ Blak getting the crowd going backed by our mesmerizing Drai’s Dirty Dancers on stage, as bottle presentations and tables making it rain only added to the incredible ambiance! “I represent the three letters: CMG!” Yo Gotti made a statement as he began his set with “F*** You” followed by “I Got the Sack,” as cheers filled the air across the jam-packed venue. “Las Vegas make some noise! Shout out to the real girls in the building — what’s up, shortie?” Gotti asked a few lucky ladies one by one on the dancefloor where they were from and had some fun interactions with the crowd, making their evening that much more memorable throughout the show — “shout out to all the real girls in the building!” He then performed “5 Star,” “They Like,” and “Women Lie, Men Lie” for all the real ones in the club, getting everyone to sing along! Yo Gotti concluded his set with fan-favorite “Rake It Up,” “Juice” and “1942,” and happily hung out on stage afterwards to greet as many fans as possible!
Drai’s Beachclub continues to be the hottest dayclub destination on the Strip, featuring the return of TroyBoi as he took over Saturday afternoon for us one last time for the summer season! Fans made sure to catch him one last time here on the rooftop venue, getting everyone to turn up as he brought the very best in dance, house and trap music. He was accompanied by a talented troupe of b-boys as they brought some jaw-dropping moves for the masses. It felt like summer was far from over with perfect weather, people in the pools and private bungalows making a splash, and good vibes all day long! TroyBoi looked fashionably sharp as always with his keen sense of style, this time rocking a pair of Jordan 1 x Off-White “Powder Blue” sneakers to go along with his Off-White camo pants. He began his set real strong by “F***** S*** Up” into “Hustle and Flow,” followed by a “Bad and Boujee” remix exclusively from the man himself. Troy effortlessly blended today’s top bangers with some classic ’90s jams, bringing some of his signature London sounds to the mix as well! His standalone singles “KinjaBang,” “Flamez” and “Afterhours” really turned things up a notch as he closed his show out, thanking everyone that came out — “Mad love Vegas, until next time!!”
Later that evening was Fabolous at Drai’s Nightclub, putting on a show for fans to remember. Our very own DJ Franzen set the mood for the nearly sold out night, and it was a celebration everywhere you looked! Fabolous’ DJ Boof warmed the crowd up like no other with his energetic mic presence, playing some of the best in old school and current hits. Fab started his show off with quite the “Lituation” on stage, followed by “She Wildin” to send the crowd into a frenzy! “Hold up, it’s 2018 — if you having a good ass year make some noise right now!” With a seemingly endless amount of chart-toppers aimed at the ladies, it wouldn’t be a Fabolous show without some extra attention to them — “Is there any independent women tonight?!” All the girls screamed and sang along to “Superwoman,” “Into You,” “Can’t Let You Go,” “You Be Killin Em” and much more! The birthday people didn’t get left out either, surprising all the Libras with “Say Aah” as smoke and confetti was all in the air — it was a beautiful sight as people cheered, danced, and popped bottles! Loso closed it out with a bang as he performed “Boo’d Up” and recent single “Ooh Yea,” even inviting Aaron aka the Mask-Off Mascot for some fancy footwork on stage — “I just wanna turn up with Vegas one time!” Fabolous couldn’t help but stick around on stage afterwards to shake hands with the crowd and turning up to “Sicko Mode, “Big Bank,” and “Dreams and Nightmares,” keeping the party going well into the night!
