Drai’s Weekend Recap: 50 Cent (8/24), Big Sean (8/25)
by DRAI’S / August 27, 2018
Drai’s Nightclub continues to stay ahead of the game, bringing in another stacked weekend lineup atop The Cromwell in Las Vegas! Friday night saw the grand return of the one and only 50 Cent, presented by his newly-launched Le Chemin du Roi champagne; with Big Sean coming in for Saturday as they both made for a sold out weekend! As expected a number of special guests came out, including rapper Flo Rida, NBA player CJ Watson, former NFL player Reggie Bush, and many more!
What a way to kick it off than with the legendary 50 Cent, celebrating the launch of his brand new Le Chemin du Roi champagne with a special bottle presentation for those in the VIP! The sold out evening had fans from all over the world awaiting his return to the world-famous Drai’s LIVE stage. 50 got the show started with 2003 classic “Many Men,” with a surprise appearance from fellow G-Unit rapper Tony Yayo as his hypeman for the night! “We got ourselves a party here tonight!” as the crowd cheered in excitement — “How many of y’all know the theme song to Power?” Fans then gladly rapped along to the words to “Big Rich Town” from his successful Starz TV series before taking all the ladies to the “Candy Shop” — “Let’s go ladies! I’m enjoying myself right now!” with all the girls screaming! Our lovely Drai’s Dolls then came up on stage for a special Le Chemin du Roi bottle presentation during the performance of “P.I.M.P.” — it was only right! 50 Cent and Tony Yayo closed this epic night out with THE premier club anthem, “In Da Club” from his critically-acclaimed Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album, as tables made it rain and got everyone on another level to keep the celebrations going!
As with any Big Sean night, it was a packed house from start to finish here at Drai’s Nightclub! Sean and his crew came in early to celebrate one of his close friend’s birthday, having fun and enjoying the amenities. A surprise appearance from comedian Lil Duval stepped up on stage with the Drai’s Dirty Dancers, warming the crowd up with the internet sensation “Smile” to make sure everyone is ‘living their best life’ — “If y’all with your best friends make some noise right now! Everyone celebrating a birthday happy birthday to you!” It was nothing but smiles and good times from thereon out, with Sean happily greeting and taking pictures with eager fans before performing. Big Sean started us off with “Go Legend” into “Moves,” asking everyone “how y’all feeling?! First of all I feel real good being here with y’all tonight. Every time I’m here at Drai’s it’s packed the f*** out!” The sold out crowd cheered on as he performed GOOD Music standouts “Mercy,” “Clique” and more, getting everybody to sing along! “All my single independent ladies make some noise right now!” never leaving the ladies behind, it was time to bring out “No More Games,” “Beware” and “My Last,” to screams all across the venue! After performing hit after hit, Big Sean made sure to take a moment to give some words of wisdom to everyone: “no matter what you’re going through, as long as you’re doing it from the heart your opportunity will come. Life is about taking risks man, trying out new things!” Fans couldn’t agree more to his sentiments — a true role model and inspiration. His electrifying performance concluded with 3x platinum hit “Blessings,” “IDFWU” and “Bounce Back” — “thank y’all for ridin’ with me, I’m just gonna keep doing me. Live life to the fullest! One more time: if you got love for me, I got love for you!”
