Drai’s Weekend Recap: Fat Joe (9/7), TIP (9/8)

It’s the final stretch of the summer season, and Drai’s Nightclub keeps bringing in the hottest live acts in the Las Vegas Strip! We had the return of the one and only Fat Joe for Friday night, with the Grand Hustle general himself TIP coming in for Saturday. Special guests that weekend included boxing champ Floyd Mayweather, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men, and more! Read on for our full recap.

Fat Joe got the party started for the weekend, with partygoers and fans coming in to catch the East Coast rapper live in concert on the world-famous Drai’s LIVE stage! He was seen with close friends and colleagues on our stage side VIP as they were all enjoying some CÎROC and Tito’s beforehand. Joe got the show started by with “New York,” proudly repping where he’s from and shouting out all the East Coasters in the crowd. He was looking sharp on stage, donned top to bottom with the just-released PUMA collaboration from fellow Drai’s resident Big Sean! It was hit after hit for the fans, performing “What’s Love,” “Lean Back,” “Another Round,” “All the Way Up,” and much more as they sang along to the classics! Fat Joe closed the evening out with a bang, giving us “All I Do Is Win” and “Still Not a Player” to keep it going!

“Yeah Vegas, what’s happening?! It’s the king!” TIP never fails to deliver, as Drai’s Nightclub was the place to be and be seen Saturday night in Las Vegas! The king of trap music began with “Top Back” into “Rubberband Man,” showing everyone who the boss was. Loud cheers and applause were heard all evening, and as always TIP made sure to show a lot of love to his many fans by shaking as many hands as possible. “I’d like to welcome you to the home of trap music! How many of y’all been down with the king from day 1?! Drai’s y’all know how it’s done!” He took us all back to 2003, performing “24’s” and “U Don’t Know Me,” followed by “Why You Wanna,” “No Mediocre,” “Whatever You Like” and more for all the ladies! “The Dime Trap is coming! If you wanna hear some new s*** make some noise!” We were then treated to an exclusive from the Atlanta rapper, as he performed just-released singles “Jefe” and “Wraith” for the first time in Las Vegas, as tables were making it rain! TIP concluded his epic show with “What You Know” and “ATM” for the riled-up crowd — “Fifteen years of Trap Muzik! Thank you Drai’s!”

TIP will be back at Drai’s Nightclub on Saturday, September 15 for Fight Weekend! Click here for tickets.
