After teasing fans of a possible collaborative project with Curren$y back in December, Drai’s resident Wiz Khalifa made it official by announcing their joint ‘2009’ tour. Wiz posted the big reveal on his Instagram today, as well as a themed merch line to go along with it:

The North American tour kicks off February 8 in Seattle and will hit a number of major markets like San Francisco, Chicago, Wiz’s hometown of Pittsburgh, and more before they wrap it up in San Antonio on March 9. The two have previously collaborated on a variety of projects, and their undeniable chemistry will likely translate to the stage in big ways. Expect Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y’s 2009 album to drop soon; tickets go on sale this Friday via Live Nation.

Another Drai’s resident starting 2019 off on the right foot is Lil Wayne, announcing that he will be performing alongside Imagine Dragons during ESPN’s halftime presentation of the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Clemson will be facing off against Alabama from Levi’s Stadium, with the halftime show being set at Treasure Island located in the San Francisco Bay. If Wayne’s jaw-dropping performance at Drai’s Nightclub during New Year’s Eve 2019 weekend is anything to go by, it’s definitely worth tuning in to when the game airs Monday, January 7 on ESPN.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has just announced their highly-anticipated 2019 lineup, with headliners Childish Gambino, Tame Impala and Ariana Grande set to perform in this April. Coachella tweeted the news last night:

We’ve got two of our resident artists performing this year – Wiz Khalifa on Saturday and Pusha-T on Sunday – alongside other standout acts like Anderson .Paak, Kid Cudi, YG and many more. 2019’s event looks to be its most global yet, including Japanese pop group Perfume and Korean chart-toppers BLACKPINK, as well as some high-profile Latin artists like J Balvin, Bad Bunny and veteran norteño act Los Tucanes de Tijuana. This year’s Coachella will be held April 12 to 14 and 19 to 21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, and passes go on sale this Friday at 11 a.m. PST.

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill’s Championships album has debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, moving at an equivalent of 229,000 units in the week ending December 6. Championships is Meek’s sixth consecutive top 10 album, comprised of his entire discography to date, including his four-song Legends of the Summer EP released back in July, which debuted and peaked at no. 9. His latest LP marks his second biggest opening numbers so far, just behind his debut 2012 album Dreams and Nightmares, which moved an impressive 246,000 units in its first week. Drai’s resident Lil Wayne is making headlines once again as he has just announced his ‘I Ain’t Sh*t Without You’ fan appreciation tour. In partnership with premium streaming service TIDAL, the tour gives fans control as they can register and vote on which cities Wayne will make stops to. In support of his platinum-selling Tha Carter V album, Tunechi said that it’ll be an intimate setting this time around, and we can expect some surprises in store for us when the tour launches. The wait is finally over: Meek Mill has released his highly-anticipated Championships album today. Following up from 2017’s Wins & Losses, Championships comes as a landmark drop for Meek as the industry felt his absence during his unjust prison sentence.
