Big Sean Says He’s Been Waiting His “Whole Life” to Drop Next Album, Launching Tour to Perform Classics
by DRAI’S / February 1, 2018
Even after just releasing Double or Nothing with Metro Boomin and consecutively releasing a new project year after year, Big Sean shows no signs of slowing down. While walking down the red carpet during the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, where he was nominated for Best Rap Performance for “Bounce Back,” the Drai’s resident artist was stopped by E! News where he shared something very exciting about his next album. “We’ve got a lot coming up,” he told Ryan Seacrest. “I’m getting ready to drop an album I’ve been waiting my whole life to drop.” When asked to elaborate on that, Sean kept things coy — “You gotta wait and see.”
Sean also went into detail about his next tour, going about it a different route than what artists traditionally do: “I’m going on tour, that’s what I’m super excited about,” he said. “It’s a different kind of tour, too. I always go, basically, based around a project, but this year it’s like — ’cause I got some mixtape classics too. So we’re doing like, all the old stuff, all the collab projects: TWENTY88, Double of Nothing, all the albums, mixtapes, just classics. And it’s just… I’m excited for that.” This is very exciting news for Big Sean fans, where they’ll have the chance to hear older hits like “Final Hour” and “Marvin & Chardonnay,” as well as more current bangers like “IDFWU,” “Bounce Back” and “Deja Vu.”
With plenty of material under his belt, this is looking to be another successful tour to hold fans over until his next album — which sounds to be Sean Don’s most important. You can catch Big Sean perform LIVE for Big Game weekend this Saturday, February 3 at Drai’s Nightclub! Click here to purchase tickets.
