Fall is officially here, but Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub continues to bring the heat with exclusive, full-length performances in Las Vegas! This time we got it started on Friday afternoon with a special edition of Drai’s Beachclub, as JusCollege took over the rooftop venue with BENZI; later that night was the return of Nelly at Drai’s Nightclub; and Saturday evening was the official album release party for DIME TRAP, with TIP live in concert at the Drai’s LIVE stage!

Based on the photos alone, you wouldn’t be able to tell if this was a scene from spring break or not — it was that wild on the rooftop of The Cromwell Friday afternoon! College students from across the U.S. came out to party one last time for dayclub season at Drai’s Beachclub, in partnership of JusCollege, as our very own BENZI held it down all day. The venue was jam-packed from start to finish, with every cabana and bungalow filled with partygoers — drinks were flowing all day as people made a splash all around our many sparkling pools; it was just nonstop fun everywhere you looked! BENZI kept the madness alive as he played the best dance, alternative and hip-hop mixes, from Sheck Wes’ “Mo Bamba” to Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” and everything in between. Friday night saw the return of Nelly at the Las Vegas night club, always bringing in an enthusiastic crowd to keep the good vibes going. This time he was seen wearing a fashionable Fendi “Monster Eyes” shirt, rounded out with a clean pair of Air Jordan 3 “White Cements” as he started us off with “E.I.,” “Knuck If You Buck” and “Air Force Ones,” with fans cheering as loud as they can! “I wanna thank y’all for being here tonight. Shout out to Drai’s, shout out to the West Coast! Thank y’all for holding it down with me for 18, 19, 20 years — I wanna know who’s been riding with Nelly since day 1! Let’s take it back to memory lane…” The Drai’s resident then performed his breakout 2000 debut single “Country Grammar” as everyone sang along to the classic, happily shaking hands with his fans on the dance floor. Nelly effortlessly blended other rap hits like “Plug Walk,” “All I Do Is Win,” and “Grove St. Party” with his own bangers like “Ride Wit Me,” “Grillz,” “The Fix” and more! As with any TIP show it was a packed house with bottle presentations, tables making it rain, and partygoers up and dancing the night away! “If you love trap music make some noise!” The trap king came out to “Top Back” and “Rubberband Man,” setting the mood just right for this epic evening. “Who’s been down with the king since day 1? I truly appreciate the love, but there’s a few that still don’t know me…” and just in case there were a few that needed a friendly reminder, TIP made sure no one will forget as he performed “U Don’t Know Me” as cheers filled the air. “Look, I dunno if it’s just me but I see a lot of fresh faces out here tonight! I just wanna know if I can holla at you for a minute!” TIP reached his hand out to the dance floor as he brought out “Let’s Get Away,” “Why You Wanna,” “No Mediocre” and “Whatever You Like” for all the lovely ladies screaming and singing along. “The DIME TRAP is everywhere right now; if y’all wanna hear some new s*** make some noise!” His latest singles “Wraith” and “Jefe” were next, followed by an array of chart-toppers to get the hype rolling. Yo Gotti concluded his set with fan-favorite “Rake It Up,” “Juice” and “1942,” and happily hung out on stage afterwards to greet as many fans as possible!

Drai’s Beachclub continues to be the hottest dayclub destination on the Strip, featuring the return of TroyBoi as he took over Saturday afternoon for us one last time for the summer season! Fans made sure to catch him one last time here on the rooftop venue, getting everyone to turn up as he brought the very best in dance, house and trap music. He was accompanied by a talented troupe of b-boys as they brought some jaw-dropping moves for the masses. It felt like summer was far from over with perfect weather, people in the pools and private bungalows making a splash, and good vibes all day long! TroyBoi looked fashionably sharp as always with his keen sense of style, this time rocking a pair of Jordan 1 x Off-White “Powder Blue” sneakers to go along with his Off-White camo pants. He began his set real strong by “F***** S*** Up” into “Hustle and Flow,” followed by a “Bad and Boujee” remix exclusively from the man himself. Troy effortlessly blended today’s top bangers with some classic ’90s jams, bringing some of his signature London sounds to the mix as well! His standalone singles “KinjaBang,” “Flamez” and “Afterhours” really turned things up a notch as he closed his show out, thanking everyone that came out — “Mad love Vegas, until next time!!”

Later that evening was Fabolous at Drai’s Nightclub, putting on a show for fans to remember. Our very own DJ Franzen set the mood for the nearly sold out night, and it was a celebration everywhere you looked! Fabolous’ DJ Boof warmed the crowd up like no other with his energetic mic presence, playing some of the best in old school and current hits. Fab started his show off with quite the “Lituation” on stage, followed by “She Wildin” to send the crowd into a frenzy! “Hold up, it’s 2018 — if you having a good ass year make some noise right now!” With a seemingly endless amount of chart-toppers aimed at the ladies, it wouldn’t be a Fabolous show without some extra attention to them — “Is there any independent women tonight?!” All the girls screamed and sang along to “Superwoman,” “Into You,” “Can’t Let You Go,” “You Be Killin Em” and much more! The birthday people didn’t get left out either, surprising all the Libras with “Say Aah” as smoke and confetti was all in the air — it was a beautiful sight as people cheered, danced, and popped bottles! Loso closed it out with a bang as he performed “Boo’d Up” and recent single “Ooh Yea,” even inviting Aaron aka the Mask-Off Mascot for some fancy footwork on stage — “I just wanna turn up with Vegas one time!” Fabolous couldn’t help but stick around on stage afterwards to shake hands with the crowd and turning up to “Sicko Mode, “Big Bank,” and “Dreams and Nightmares,” keeping the party going well into the night!

I wanna thank each and every one of y’all for coming out; where my day 1’s at?! Understand, I’m the only artist to have the number 1 rap single, pop single, country single, dance single, R&B single!” The nearly sold out venue cheered on as they rapped along to his endless catalog of classics. You’ll never know what Nelly has up his sleeve when he’s on the Drai’s LIVE stage, this time switching it up a bit by performing “Smile,” “Grove St. Party,” “Big Bank” and some “Sexual Healing” for all the lovely ladies! “Listen, I wanna do some new s***! When I say ‘all work,’ you say ‘no play’!” fans gladly obliged as he then brought out one of his recent singles “All Work No Play.” As if it couldn’t get any crazier, things really started to heat up with fan-favorite “Hot in Herre,” absolutely getting everyone to ‘get up up on the dance floor’! Nelly then slowed things down for the ladies and made one very lucky fan’s entire night by inviting a bride to be up on stage to sing along “Dilemma” — everyone was all about it and happily sang along to the slow jam with her! As the show came to an end, he was more than happy to greet and shake as many hands as possible to his fans and partygoers — “Again I wanna thank y’all for coming out and being here! I’ve been saying this since day 1, I love y’all!” But it didn’t end there… Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee just couldn’t help himself from this epic night by hopping on stage right after, performing “Powerglide,” “Come Get Her” and “Guatemala” to massive cheers — yes, it was that kind of night; you truly had to be there! Once again festival goers came out for the hottest party in Las Vegas, knowing that they’ll be getting by far the best concert experience on the Strip. Ty started us off strong with “Fade” then transitioning into “Saved,” asking “where all my ladies at?!” As you can guess screams filled the venue as he stepped back on the world-famous Drai’s LIVE stage — “I wanna know, if you been f***** with Ty Dolla $ign where you at?! Alright now, if you with your best friend make some noise!” We had tables popping bottles and everyone with good company singing and dancing to “You and Your Friends,” followed by standout banger “Don’t Tell Em.” He then asked “who’s birthday is it right now?!” and we most definitely had a lot of Virgos in the building — everywhere you looked it was a celebration! MEL Magazine has just published an extensive article on the 1989 comedy classic Weekend at Bernie’s. The feature highlights how the ‘stupidest comedy you secretly love’ came to fruition, going into detail on pitching the wild idea to executives, roadblocks in development, overcoming the negative reviews it faced, its legacy, and much more. Film producer, entrepreneur and nightclub impresario Victor Drai, who had made the Gene Wilder rom-com The Woman in Red, gave the film’s premise a chance. “I loved that script,” Drai says. “We worked on it for like, I don’t know, six months or a year. When we finished, I asked [Klane], ‘Do you have any other ideas? I want to try to find something original.’ He said, ‘Yes, I have an idea, but nobody would ever buy it. It’s about two kids who drag a dead guy around Fire Island.’” I said, ‘That sounds crazy and funny.’” The fact that Weekend at Bernie’s even got greenlit was something of a miracle, and for that we have our very own Victor Drai to thank in giving this outrageous movie a chance.
