Another amazing weekend calls for another Drai’s recap post! Last Friday we saw the long-awaited return of Nelly, Saturday was Audien’s 2018 debut at Drai’s Beachclub, and that evening saw the trap king TIP shutting it down at Drai’s Nightclub! We had the mesmerizing and talented Drai’s Dirty Dancers entertaining partygoers all weekend, with our very own DJ Franzen on the 1s and 2s playing today’s hottest tracks. Notable guests included Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, Giants safety Darian Thompson, YouTuber CJ So Cool, and many more!
Friday night was full of hype as we saw Nelly fans from all over coming out to get the weekend started right! Bottles were being popped and tables were making it rain all night; it was a sight to behold! Nelly’s return to the Drai’s LIVE stage saw him and his crew start off with one of 2018’s biggest hits, “God’s Plan” to get the crowd amped up, followed by his chart-toppers “E.I.” and “Air Force Ones.” “I wanna thank each and every one of y’all for coming out, supporting me for 18-19 years now!” as loud cheers filled the venue. It was all smiles from Nelly the whole evening, as he continued to express his gratitude: “Who’s been with me since day 1?! I love each and every one of y’all for coming to see me tonight! Let’s take Las Vegas to day 1!” Nelly then performs his breakout hit “Country Grammar” with lots of noise and love all over, as he reached his hand out to many enthusiastic fans! He performed other classics like “Ride Wit Me,” “Hot in Herre,” his new single “All Work, No Play” and more, as he closed the night out for the ladies with “Dilemma,” followed by “Grillz.” “My man TIP gonna be here tomorrow night at Drai’s so make sure you here for that! It’s time for our weekly Drai’s Beachclub recap, with the one and only Audien making his return for the 2018 season! Temperatures are steadily rising here in Vegas, and the weather just felt perfect that afternoon for a dip in the pool and to just party. It was a lively crowd filled with great vibes all around, with Audien fans making their way upstairs to The Cromwell for the only rooftop dayclub destination in town! We had bottles everywhere, gourmet food being served, beachballs in the air, and today’s best dance music being played, all being enjoyed with the best views at the heart of the Strip! It was then time for Audien to get behind the decks, getting everyone riled up for his set! He played countless hits and crowd favorites such as the remix to “17,” “Tunnel Vision” and “Stay,” delighting poolside partygoers. Our Drai’s Dirty Dancers livened up the mood on stage as well, adding to the already bumping ambiance. Audien eventually brought out his standouts “Something Better” and “One More Weekend” for the fans, truly keeping the weekend going! Audien will be back again Sunday, April 22! Saturday evening was another sold out show for the King of the South, TIP! Tables were filled quickly as special guests and TIP fans were thrilled to be treated to his incredible full-length performance! “Vegas what’s happening? I welcome you to Drai’s!” having an energetic start with “Top Back” and “Rubberband Man”! “If you from out of town make some noise!” with tables making it rain all throughout the night! He kept the chart-toppers coming with his live band backing him up, bringing out “U Don’t Know Me,” “Why You Wanna,” “No Mediocre” and more. TIP then brought some of his timeless Urban Legend hits to the stage to perform “Motivation” and “ASAP,” and then hinting at his upcoming project. “New album coming soon! Gonna be my 10th album, it’s gonna be truly special!” tentatively titled The Dime Trap. The King then ended this epic night out with his standout classic “What You Know,” going all out with his band with a crazy guitar and drum solo in the end. “Vegas, y’all ready to go home?!” with of course everyone screaming “no!” “Vegas, do you want some?!” He officially ends it with “ATM,” for what was another spectacular showing from TIP!
